Bring your PDFs together in one file.
Select multiple PDFs, put them in the order you want, and download a single combined document. The merge itself runs in your browser.
Start for freeMerge PDFs, shown as a simplified diagram
Merging PDFs combines two or more existing PDF files into a single PDF, in the page order you set, without changing what is on each page.
Attachments scattered across files, one document needed
A cover letter and a resume. A report and its appendices. Five signed pages from five different people. Most PDF merging jobs start the same way: several separate files that a recipient really needs as one document.
PDF Hammer’s merge tool takes any number of PDFs, lets you set the order they should appear in, and produces one combined file you can download and send.
How it works
-
01
Add your PDFs
Choose two or more PDF files from your device. There is no fixed limit on how many you can combine in one pass.
-
02
Arrange them in order
Drag the files into the sequence you want the final document to read in. The order you set is the order in the merged PDF.
-
03
Download the combined PDF
PDF Hammer stitches the files together into a single PDF and gives you one file to download.
What this tool preserves and changes
What merging does
- Combines the pages of every file you select into one PDF, in your chosen order.
- Keeps each page’s original content exactly as it was in the source file.
- Produces a single downloadable PDF you can send or store.
What merging does not do
- It does not rewrite or edit the content of any page.
- It does not automatically remove duplicate pages if the same page appears in more than one file.
- It does not reorder pages inside a single file, that is a job for the organize tool.
Private by default for this tool
Merging is processed locally in your browser for this tool. Your files are not uploaded to a server to combine them.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit to how many PDFs I can merge?
There is no fixed limit on the number of files. Very large batches will take longer to process, and overall performance depends on your device and the size of the files involved.
Will merging remove duplicate pages automatically?
No. If the same page appears in two of the files you merge, it will appear twice in the combined PDF. Deduplication is not part of this tool.
Can I change the order after I’ve added the files?
Yes. Files are arranged before the merge runs, and the order you set is the order used in the final document.
Does merging change the content of any page?
No. Merging combines existing pages as they are. It does not rewrite text, resize images, or alter formatting inside a page.
